We all know that when the cold weather hits we have to start preparing for the colds and the flus that go around. We drink more orange juice, try and get a little more sleep, and we (should) wear a coat when it gets pretty cold. Though, it seems no matter how hard I try, I always end up getting sick.
8 AM statistics is a killer…even without feeling awful. I slept through 3 alarms…3! As I rolled over this morning to check and see what time it was I realized that my class was just ending and I was still in bed. I knew something was wrong.
Head pounding, throat raw, and different colored things coming out of my nose. It’s the joy that I like to call the winter time crud. Of course, I would loose my voice as well, but it’s a good thing I don’t need it for a few weeks. I sit here, trying to finish up a few things for class, and I’m laughing at myself. Laughing because it would be me that looses her voice right after preaching. Laughing because I had been doing so well as to not getting sick (at least with something that lasted more than a few hours). Laughing because I slept through the one class I need perfect attendance in because I suck at math.
Well, here is to a day of trying to make the best of a bad situation. Hopefully my professor will understand. And hopefully I can finish that journal entry for mythology!
